I straighten my hair, is this cut for me?

It depends if you’re wanting to wear your hair straight a lot of the time. Curl-By-Curl cuts hair in its curl formation which may well leave the hair quite uneven straightened… but perfect curly!

Can I have my hair cut without previously following the Curly Girl Method?

Yes! But keep in mind, it is preferable for the best cut you start to follow the method a couple of months before you see me, if not I will get you started. The cut may be limited please see below.

I am a new client and I want a big chop or change!

Great, however please come with an open mind. If your curl is stretched out or weighed down by too much product, affecting curls being hydrated, I may not be able to predict the spring factor when it’s hydrated. This is because true hydration happens over time. This may mean your hair turns out differently to how you expected, so I may hold back a little with what you’ve requested that first go. I don’t want to cut a mullet unless it is requested!

Please head to the Forehill Car Park. As you drive in the salon on the left, just inside FRESH. Studios. Alternatively the salon is a 5 mins from Ely train station. If you have a Saturday appointment please leave plenty of time, Ely boasts a very popular Saturday & Thursday market!

The Curly Girl Method is confusing, it’s too complicated.

There is a lot of misinformation that can be overwhelming online. The original method is straight forward and simple, written by Lorraine Massey, and not the endless variations claiming to be CGM and over complicating things.

I’ve tried the Curly Girl Method and it doesn’t work for me.

In the UK we unfortunately don’t have as many readily available products on our high street currently. Some appear to be CG safe but in reality are no good for cleansing or conditioning curly hair, others are not water soluble and not suitable. I am here to help simplify all and get your curls popping!

Do you dye hair?

No I don’t, however there may be another stylist at the salon who can. Please contact me when you’ve booked your appointment.

I have allergies to certain common natural ingredients.

Please get in touch, we can discuss your needs and ensure I use the right products for your skin.

Are your products suitable for vegans

Yes, we have vegan products. Please mention this to me when you arrive as a couple of products I use contain ethically sourced honey.

You don’t have any appointments for ages…

I am always booked up in advance because people need their curls treating right by the right people. But cancellations do happen, so get in touch and there’s a chance you may get an earlier appointment if someone can’t make it. I just can’t promise anything.
